| Update- Yes there is a pulse |
[Mar. 1st, 2009|07:01 pm] |
So it's been a long while since I've posted anything of note. I'm guessing now is a good time to do so. First off I want to insure all that I'm alive and have not fallen off the face of the earth. Now on to the update. Well I've been working since September of last year on a temp to perm basis as a buyer at a solar company in Bridgewater. Well as of last Monday I officially am no longer a temp and now am a full time employee with company. This is a great relief for now I can end my temping nomadic ways and set roots down in a company. The funny thing is everyone thought I was full time employee and not a temp. That is no longer the case and they're glad to have me as part of the team. Now for some sad news: my faithful Explorer is dead. The PAN-mobile is gone. I was in a car accident the beginning of January. I'm fine but my truck was not so lucky. Both air bags deployed, front end messed up. So it was totaled. Cop gave the other driver a ticket for failure to maintain lane. Basically I was in the left lane and the other driver cut in front of me leaving me no room to do anything but slam on my breaks and honk my horn. The other driver's insurance company only claimed 90% liability and said I was 10% negligent because the police report and the photos of the vehicles contradicted each other. That's funny cause their driver got the ticket and the cop said both our stories matched up. But I digress, either way I now have a new vehicle though not a Explorer however I'm sure this replacement will serve me well. I really wish I could have put my Explorer on a raft and lit it on fire and sent it out to sea and give it a nice Viking funeral. So those are my big updates: finally a full time job again and no more temping, and new vehicle to replace my trusty Explorer. You will be missed my friend. |

You are The Lovers
Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.
The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.
Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.

| I'm employed again |
[Sep. 28th, 2006|03:39 pm] |
Well I know it's been a long time since I've posted here but as of late there has been nothing to post. Now there is because I finally got a job. This time it's a really good job. Starting tomorrow I will be working at Colgate-Palmolive in Piscataway in the Patent Office. The sweet thing about it is that it's a 2 minute commute from my house. I'm not knocking that. Grant it it's a temp to perm position but if I prove myself it can turn into full time. You better believe I'm going to bust my ass and prove myself. I feel so relieved that I have a job again since that one at Buy Rite DVD was crap and didn't work out. Stupid business using bait and switch in job description. But I digress. I'm happy to have a job again and to have a source of income again. I would like thank everyone who stuck by me and offered me job advice and sage wisdom that helped pick me up when I was feeling down about being unemployed. Tomorrow I join the work force again. |

| I can't seem to get a break |
[Jul. 14th, 2006|12:53 pm] |
Once again life kicks me in the crotch when I least expect it. I went in for a job interview on Wednesday for the Assistant Store Manager position at the Livingston College Bookstore. I've worked here before as a cashier while I was in school. So I thought my chances of getting this job where pretty good. I told them about the time off in August I need for Pennsic and that I can't work weekends until the end of September due to Bucks. Well instead of getting a phone call saying they want to hire me I get this e-mail: Thank you for your interest in our Assistant Manager position. We appreciate you taking the time to interview.
We were fortunate to receive a number of applications. We have identified another candidate whose experience more closely fits our qualifications. I will keep your resume on file for future reference.
That was the basic gist of the e-mail. I don't get it I was willing to start on Monday. Hell the pay was crap anyway and I was still willing to take the job. I just give up. I hate the whole job hunt, the job market sucks ass. I hate staffing firms because they have done dick for me except blow smoke up my ass saying: Oh we don't have any positions now but we'll get back to you as soon as something comes up, then I never hear from them again. I hate that I've been unemployed since the beginning of October of last year. I hate that I don't have a steady income. I'm just so frustrated with the whole situation right now. I'm going to end this rant right now before I get myself even more agitated. |

| Well if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all |

| [ | mood |
| | depressed | ] | Well apparently I must have the worst luck in the world. I tried installing extra memory in my computer yesterday and ended up frying the mother board on my PC around to the Best Buy Geek Squad. To top it off it would cost me more to have a new motherboard installed so my only other option is to get a new computer. In that last sentence lies my dilemma: I CAN"T AFFORD A NEW COMPUTER. I have no job though not for lack of trying and therefore no steady income to buy said new computer with. Why is it that I can never catch a break? I mean I wonder what the odds are that I fry the mother board while trying to install new memory. GRRR. I'm going to end the rant now cause I feel myself getting more frustrated as I'm thinking about the rotten luck I have. Something so simple and I end up frying the mother board. I just give up. |

Armed and Dangerous Congratulations! You scored 91%! |
| You made it out, alive and well supplied. You probably even kept most of your party alive too. You know what to look for, what to take, and when to just run. You even feel a strange inkling to go back. If you did, you'd probably do just fine. |

| UNICEF bombs the Smurfs |
[Dec. 11th, 2005|02:59 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | relaxed | ] | As I was relaxing on this lovely Sunday afternoon watching VH1's Best Year Ever, a lovely rehashing of the past year's most notable events, I saw a most disturbing image that I thought was a joke. I did some research and found it to be true, Belgium did an ad campaign for Unicef to show the horrors of war and it's affect on children. Now instead of showing real images of war they decided to go the other direction and bomb the lovable and defenseless 80's Saturday Morning cartoon icons The Smurfs. What has the world come to. Enjoy the commercial and read the article:
